Dear readers, here above I’ve written the equation for success. If you want to become rich, or very famous within social media, you just have to
- hire Cara Delevingne,
- do something related to fashion,
- call out everybody,
And then you’ll be trend topic for at least a whole week. Of course, the eco that #Cara4DKNY campaing is having in Internet helped me drawing up this equation 🙂
I don’t know if you have heard of it, but Cara is designing a capsule unisex collection for DKNY, adding to a CV which includes her burgeoning acting career and her collaboration with Mulberry, alongside her two Vogue covers (and one for Miss Vogue), multiple campaigns and extensive catwalk history. She announced this collaboration the 9th of June in her social media with the message “Get Ready!!! It’s Coming….

In my opinion, one of the key points of this success is her 5,5 million followers on Instagram, 1,89 million on Twitter and so, the opportunity to reach so many fans and other targets. By using Cara’s platforms they moved another campaign in which they’d find two to three unknown models to star in the DKNY campaign with her. She asks her followers, 18 years and older, to upload a photo of themselves with the hashtag #CaraWantsYou and #Cara4DKNY, and this was the bomb: In the first hour after Cara posted that, there were no fewer that 8.000 #CaraWantsYou photos uploaded to Instagram, imagine the total!
Each winner was individually introduced in an Instagram by Cara Delevingne. The lucky six were all unique and beautiful in these tongue adorned selfies with our favorite supermodel.
Yesterday, saturday 11th October was the launch party in NY, and users will be able to buy their capsule collection within this week 🙂
